Bumgarner (3-1), who signed a five-year, $35 million extension last week, won his third straight start, handcuffing the Mets on one run. The left-hander allowed three hits, walked two and struck out four.
Hector Sanchez cracked a two-run homer and added a sacrifice fly while Pablo Sandoval also launched a two-run shot for the Giants, who took three of four games against the Mets, including a 6-1 victory in the first game.
Dillon Gee (1-2) was torched for seven runs on 12 hits in a 6 2/3-inning effort for the Mets.
Daniel Murphy and Justin Turner each drove in a run for New York.
