HOUSTON, April 22 (UPI) -- Jordan Schafer hit a grand slam and Wandy Rodriguez tamed Los Angeles over seven innings Sunday in the Houston Astros' 12-0 rout of the Dodgers.
Schafer's slam in the second inning put the Astros ahead 5-0 and they never looked back, banging out 12 hits en route to salvaging one win in their three-game set with the Dodgers.
Carlos Lee added a two-run shot while Chris Johnson and Jason Castro each added two hits and an RBI in Houston's win.
Rodriguez (1-2) earned his first victory of the year in his fourth start, holding Los Angeles to three hits. He walked three and struck out six.
The Dodgers' Chad Billingsley (2-1) lasted only 3 1/3 frames, allowing nine runs (five earned) on four hits and four walks.
Los Angeles fell to 12-4 with the setback.
