NBA: Memphis 93, Portland 89

MEMPHIS, April 21 (UPI) -- Rudy Gay scored 21 points Saturday and the playoff-bound Memphis Grizzlies won their fourth straight with a 93-89 verdict over Portland.

Gay grabbed six rebounds for the Grizzlies, who also got double-digit scoring efforts from O.J. Mayo (14 points), Marreese Speights (13) and Marc Gasol and Dante Cunningham (12 each).

Memphis used the victory to pull within a half-game of the idle Los Angeles Clippers in the race for the Western Conference's fourth seed.

The Trail Blazers dropped their fifth straight despite 23 points and 13 rebounds from J.J. Hickson.

Jamal Crawford added 21 points in the loss.
