NEW YORK, April 15 (UPI) -- Derek Jeter and Raul Ibanez each homered and drove in three runs Sunday in the New York Yankees' 11-5 victory over the Los Angeles Angels.
Jeter's three-run blast in the fourth inning handed the Yankees an 8-1 lead and Ibanez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and RBI single for New York, which took the rubber match of a three-game series.
Robinson Cano had two hits with three runs scored and Mark Teixeira supplied a run-scoring double among his two hits for the Yankees.
Ivan Nova (2-0) won his 14th straight decision dating back to last season despite yielding four runs on eight hits over six full innings.
Angels starter Jerome Williams (0-1) lasted only 2 2/3 innings, surrendering five runs on five hits.
Mark Trumbo and Chris Iannetta homered for Los Angeles, which lost for the sixth time in nine games to start the season.
