COPENHAGEN, Denmark, April 13 (UPI) -- Petra Martic won in three sets Friday and became the only unseeded player to advance to the semifinals of the e-Boks Open tennis tournament in Denmark.

That allowed her to advance to Saturday's semifinals against top-seeded and two-time defending champion Caroline Wozniacki. Wozniacki won the first nine games of a 6-0, 6-3 quarterfinal victory over Alize Cornet. Wozniacki lost just 10 points in the first set.

No. 2-seeded Angelique Kerber edged sixth-seeded Mona Barthel 6-2, 0-6, 7-5 with half of her six service breaks coming in the third set.

Jelena Jankovic, seeded third, topped No. 5-seeded Kaia Kanepi 4-6, 6-1, 6-3. Jankovic lost her serve just once after the first set.

Wozniacki hasn't lost a set in her two previous matches against Martic. Kerber and Jankovic will be playing each other for the first time.
