MLB: Arizona 5, San Francisco 4

PHOENIX, April 7 (UPI) -- Aaron Hill pounded two homers Saturday and the Arizona Diamondbacks logged a second straight win to start the season, 5-4 over San Francisco.

Hill smacked a solo shot in the first inning and added a two-run blast in the next frame, helping stake the D-backs to a quick 4-0 lead.

Chris Young went 2-for-3 with two RBI for Arizona, which registered a second consecutive 5-4 win over San Francisco to begin the 2012 season.

Daniel Hudson (1-0) earned the victory despite yielding four runs on five hits and two walks over six innings. He fanned four batters.

J.J. Putz notched his second save in two days, striking out a pair in a 1-2-3 ninth.

Madison Bumgarner (0-1) took the loss, yielding four runs on seven hits after going four-plus frames.

Pablo Sandoval and Brett Pill homered for the Giants.
