FRISCO, Texas, April 5 (UPI) -- Ugo Ihemelu floated a header across the face of the goal and into the far corner of the net in stoppage time Thursday, giving Dallas a 1-0 win over New England.

Dallas (2-2-1) won its opening game of the season before suffering through a three-game winless streak. New England (2-3) had captured its previous two contests.

Loyd's free kick came as a result of a foul committed by New England's A.J. Soares on Blas Perez. The goal was the first for Ihemelu since last May.

New England was blanked for the third time this season.
