MLS: New England 3, Los Angeles 1

CARSON, Calif., April 1 (UPI) -- Rookie Kelyn Rowe scored his first MLS goal Saturday and the New England Revolution cruised to a rainy 3-1 win over Los Angeles.

Rowe shook off a steady rain and scored on a right-footed shot from close range in the 10th minute to open the game's scoring for the Revolution (2-2-0).

Chris Tierney doubled the advantage only 3 minutes later on a sliding kick that went in under the crossbar off a cross from Kevin Alston.

Saer Sene added a second-half marker for the Revs, who were coming off a 1-0 victory last week over Portland.

Robbie Keane found the net for the defending champion Galaxy (1-2-0).
