NBA: Chicago 83, Detroit 71

CHICAGO, March 30 (UPI) -- Luol Deng led Chicago with 20 points Friday and the Bulls held Detroit scoreless over the final 4:51 to down the Pistons 83-71.

Detroit trailed by only four before going cold down the stretch. It was Chicago's ninth win in 11 games, giving the Bulls a league-best 42 for the season.

The Pistons were limited to 36 percent shooting and Detroit made it to the free throw line just seven times.

Joakim Noah had 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulls while Carlos Boozer added 13 points.

Detroit, which is 7 1/2 games out of a playoff position in the Eastern Conference, was led by Brandon Knight with 16 points. The Pistons had a two-game winning streak snapped and have lost six out of eight.
