CLEVELAND, March 28 (UPI) -- Tayshaun Prince equaled his season high with 29 points and added eight rebounds Wednesday to lead Detroit past Cleveland 87-75.
The Pistons won their second straight after losing five in a row.
Neither team scored 20 points in either of the last two quarters in a defensive battle that featured a duel between Prince and Cleveland rookie Kyrie Irving.
Prince made 11-of-21 shots and matched the 29 points he scored on Jan. 18 against Minnesota. Detroit hit only 42 percent of its foul shots and Cleveland managed a mere 34 percent.
Brandon Knight added 16 for the Pistons.
Irving scored 22, while Antawn Jamison had 17. Cleveland has lost five consecutive games and eight out of nine.
