NBA: Boston 94, Utah 82

BOSTON, March 28 (UPI) -- Kevin Garnett scored 23 points Wednesday and hit consecutive jumpers during a late run that brought Boston a 94-82 victory over Utah.

The Celtics won their third in a row and moved into a share of the lead with Philadelphia in the Atlantic Division.

Utah was within three with 8:48 to play, but Boston then put together a 13-2 burst that broke the game open. Paul Pierce had 20 points for the Celtics, Brandon Bass added 19 and Rajon Rondo contributed 14 assists.

Gordon Hayward led the Jazz with 19 points and seven rebounds. Utah lost two of three on a brief road trip after having won six straight.
