TORONTO, March 24 (UPI) -- Ryan Callahan's goal in the third round of a shootout Saturday handed the Eastern Conference-leading New York Rangers a 4-3 victory over Toronto.
Callahan's tally off Jonas Gustavsson clinched the triumph and allowed New York to extend its lead over Pittsburgh to three points atop the conference.

The Penguins lost to Ottawa 8-4 Saturday.
Marian Gaborik collected two goals and Brandon Dubinsky also scored for the Rangers.
Henrik Lundqvist earned the victory with 22 saves.
Joey Crabb recorded a goal and an assist, while Tim Connolly and Cody Franson also scored for the Leafs.
Gustavsson finished with 30 saves for the losers.
