FONTANA, Calif., March 24 (UPI) -- Pole sitter Joey Logano grabbed the lead with 12 laps left at Auto Club Speedway and then held on to claim the Royal Purple 300 Nationwide Series race.
Logano, who led for 92 laps, passed Trevor Bayne to take the top position for good just after a restart, then held off defending series champion Ricky Stenhouse Jr. to the finish line by 1 second.

The victory -- the 10th in Logano's Nationwide career -- gave Joe Gibbs Racing its eighth straight series win.
Brad Keselowski finished third, while Joe Gibbs' Brian Scott grabbed the fourth spot.
Rookie Austin Dillon rounded out the Top 5.
