Phillip Price leads in windy Morocco

AGADIR, Morocco, March 23 (UPI) -- Phillip Price had a bogey-free 6-under-par 66 Friday and moved into the lead of the European Tour's Hassan II Trophy tournament in Morocco.

The start of play Friday was delayed 5 1/2 hours because of high winds and more than half the field was unable to finish the second round. That includes first-round leader Damien McGrane, who was even after seven holes and 7-under for the tournament when play was suspended.

The second round will be completed before the cut is determined and the third round begins Saturday.

Price was one of the first players off after the delayed start and is at 10-under 134 after 36 holes. Jose Manuel Lara, who shot a second-round 65, is second at 9-under. Joel Sjoholm (66 Friday) and James Kingston (6-under through 17 second-round holes), are tied at 8-under.

Jorge Campillo completed a 69 in the second round and is tied with McGrane at 7-under.

Price headed to the tee twice only to be told winds were still too high but he finally got started on the third try.
