NEWARK, N.J., March 23 (UPI) -- Nazem Kadri made it 3-for-3 in the shootout for Toronto Friday, bringing the Maple Leafs a 4-3 win over New Jersey.
Tyler Bozak and Tim Connolly also scored shootout goals while Ilya Kovalchuk and Zach Parise tallied in the first two rounds for the Devils.
Patrik Elias was the only skater to miss a shot in the shootout, failing in the third round and thus costing New Jersey a chance at victory.
Toronto built a 2-0 lead in the second period on goals by Bozak and Kadri but New Jersey eventually tied the score at 3-3 with just 4:42 to play on a tip-in by Adam Henrique.
James Reimer stayed busy while making 43 saves to help Toronto halt a two-game slide. Martin Brodeur faced just 17 shots, but let three of them get by and then did not stop a single effort in the shootout.
