NBA: Phoenix 113, Indiana 111

INDIANAPOLIS, March 23 (UPI) -- Steve Nash gave Phoenix a three-point lead with 10 seconds left Friday and the Suns held on to edge Indiana 113-111.

The Suns snapped a two-game skid that followed a five-game winning streak. They are 1-2 on a four-game road trip that concludes Sunday in Cleveland.

The game was close throughout and Nash went to the line for his final free throws with the Suns holding a one-point lead. After Nash made attempts from the line, Indiana's Paul George was fouled to prevent the Pacers from getting off a 3-point attempt that could have forced overtime.

George made the first free throw, but missed the second one intentionally and actually got the offensive rebound. His contested layup attempt misfired, leaving Phoenix with a victory that moved the Suns back to .500.

Marcin Gortat led Phoenix with 23 points. Nash had 17 assists in addition to 12 points while Grant Hill scored 22 for the Suns.

Danny Granger led Indiana with 28.
