NBA: Atlanta 93, New Jersey 84

ATLANTA, March 23 (UPI) -- Josh Smith scored 13 of his 30 points during the final quarter Friday, pushing the Atlanta Hawks to a 93-84 victory over New Jersey.

The Hawks won for the fourth time in five games, holding the Nets to 15 points in the fourth period after trailing by seven going into the final 12 minutes. It was the second straight 30-point effort from Smith, who also grabbed 12 rebounds.

Jeff Teague had 17 points for the Hawks and Joe Johnson scored 16.

Deron Williams had 20 points and eight assists to lead New Jersey in its fifth straight loss. The Nets have won 10 of their 16 road games this season, but have managed only five home victories.
