NBA: Indiana 85, Washington 83

WASHINGTON, March 22 (UPI) -- Paul George put Indiana ahead for the first time in the game with 59 seconds left Thursday and the Pacers went on to edge Washington 85-83.

Indiana got off to a miserable start, falling behind by 16 after one period and by 20 at halftime.

The Pacers steadily battled back and took an 84-83 lead when George hit a 3-pointer. Darren Collision added a free throw for Indiana with 9 seconds left to account for the final score.

John Wall then hit a floating jump shot for Washington, but it came after the final buzzer. The Wizards went without a point for the contest's final 2:34.

Roy Hibbert led the Pacers with 19 points and nine rebounds. Danny Granger added 16.

Washington, coming off a 2-4 road trip, got 21 points from Jordan Crawford and 16 from Wall.
