SACRAMENTO, March 21 (UPI) -- Marcus Thornton scored 31 points and DeMarcus Cousins added 23 Tuesday to lead the Sacramento Kings past Memphis 119-110.
Jason Thompson finished with 14 points and 13 rebounds for the Kings, who won their third in a row.
All five Memphis starters scored in double figures -- led by Rudy Gay with 23 points despite missing all five of his 3-point tries. Mike Conley had 16 points and nine rebounds, and Marc Gasol finished with 15 points and 10 boards.
The Grizzlies were hot on Sacramento's heels late in the game. Randolph hit a jump shot with 9:41 to play in the game to cut the Sacramento lead to 85-92, but Tyreke Evans made three layups -- wrapped around three free throws by teammates Cousins and Isaiah -- Thomas to help the Kings hold off the Grizzlies.
