Quesne's late run nets Andalucia Open

ANDALUCIA, Spain, March 18 (UPI) -- France's Julien Quesne heated up with four birdies down the stretch Sunday to collect his first European Tour win at the Andalucia Open.

Quesne keyed the late run with a crucial par save at the 17th en route to a round of 8-under 64, good for a two-shot victory at 17-under-par 271.

That matched a course record and gave the Frenchman a sufficient cushion over Matteo Manassero (4-under 68) and Eduardo de la Riva (70).

Manassero couldn't match the 64 he fired in Thursday's round to grab the early lead and ended at minus-15.

Second- and third-round leader De la Riva, meanwhile, couldn't match Quesne's run and bogeyed the 18th, settling for third place at minus-14.
