NBA: Toronto 114, Memphis 100 (OT)

MEMPHIS, March 16 (UPI) -- Two free throws by DeMar DeRozan with 4 seconds left in overtime Friday secured a 114-100 victory for the Toronto Raptors over Memphis.

The Raptors climbed past New Jersey and out of last place in the Atlantic Division, winning for the 15th time this season. Memphis has dropped two in a row and lost only its seventh home game.

Toronto had a chance to win in regulation when Gary Forbes went to the foul line with 5 seconds left and the Raptors holding a two-point lead. Forbes could make only 1-of-2 from the line and Rudy Gay made Toronto pay by hitting a 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime.

The Grizzlies, however, repaid the favor in overtime when Mike Conley missed 2-of-3 free throw attempts with 5 seconds remaining. That left Toronto in front by two and DeRozan boosted that lead by making his foul shots.

Forbes scored 20 to lead the Raptors. DeRozan and Andrea Bargnani both had 18.

Marc Gasol had 28 points off the bench for the Grizzlies. Gay contributed 26 and Zach Randolph scored 25.

A poor night at the foul line cost Memphis the game. The Grizzlies went to the charity stripe a staggering 51 times, but converted just 31 of those chances.
