Boston took a six-point lead when Brandon Bass made a dunk with 2:01 to go but Golden State rallied to tie it with 31 seconds remaining on Nate Robinson's layup.

With the 24-second shot clock running down, Garnett hit the game-winner and the Celtics survived a 3-point shot attempt just before the buzzer by Robinson.

Garnett scored 24 points and Bass had 22. Klay Thompson had 26 for the Warriors.

Both sides shot better than 50 percent from the field but both turned the ball over 17 times.
