SAN JOSE, Calif., March 11 (UPI) -- A goal in the 15th minute by Chris Wondolowski Saturday boosted the San Jose Earthquakes to a 1-0 victory over New England in their MLS opener.
Wondolowski had 16 goals in 30 games for the Earthquakes last season and got off to a good start against a New England team that finished last in the Eastern Conference a year ago.
