NHL: Columbus 5, Phoenix 2

GLENDALE, Ariz., March 3 (UPI) -- Rick Nash racked up a three-point night with two goals and an assist Saturday, powering the Columbus Blue Jackets' 5-2 victory over Phoenix.

The Coyotes rallied from a 2-0 deficit with second-period goals from Ray Whitney and Lauri Korpikoski, but Nikita Nikitin delivered the go-ahead tally midway through the final frame for the Jackets.

Colton Gillies and Derick Brassard also found the net, while Steve Mason stopped 30 shots as Columbus won a second straight game for the first time in a month.

Mike Smith absorbed the loss with 21 saves for Phoenix.
