NASHVILLE, Feb. 27 (UPI) -- Forward Andrei Kostitsyn has been traded from Montreal to Nashville where he will be reunited with his younger brother Sergei.
Kostitsyn has 12 goals and 12 assists in 53 games this season. He has 99 goals and 111 assists in 379 games since his debut in the 2005-06 season, falling shy of expectations set when the Canadiens took him with the 10th overall pick in the 2003 entry draft.
The Predators gave up two draft picks to get the 27-year-old Belarus native -- using a second-round pick in the 2013 entry draft and returning the conditional fifth-round pick they received from Montreal in the Feb. 17 trade that sent defenseman Hal Gill to Nashville.
Sergei Kostitsyn also began his NHL career with Montreal after being selected in the seventh round of the 2005 draft and was dealt to Nashville in 2010.
