NHL: Washington 4, Toronto 2

TORONTO, Feb. 25 (UPI) -- Washington's Marcus Johansson tallied a goal and an assist Saturday and the Capitals kept Toronto reeling with a 4-2 victory over the Maple Leafs.

Keith Aucoin, Jeff Halpern and Alexander Semin also found the net as the Capitals notched their second straight win.

Michal Neuvirth nailed down the victory with 28 saves.

The Leafs, who came into the contest clinging to the eighth and final playoff slot in the Eastern Conference, lost for the eighth time in nine games.

Tim Connolly and Colby Armstrong scored, while James Reimer turned aside 32-of-36 shots in Toronto's loss
