Al Jefferson made a jumper with 12 seconds remaining to lift Utah into a tie, but Ridnour took a pass from J.J. Barea and drove to the lane. He lifted a jumper from the foul line that was perfect and concluded Minnesota's comeback from an 18-point deficit late in the second quarter.

Barea scored 22 points off the bench to lead Minnesota. Nikola Pekovic added 15 points and Derrick Williams had 13.

Paul Millsap scored 25 points for Utah, which has lost three in a row.
