TORONTO, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Mark Fayne kept the Devils' hot streak alive with a game-winning goal 1:18 into overtime Tuesday, handing New Jersey a 4-3 decision over Toronto.
Fayne's long shot off the arm of Jonas Gustavsson secured the Devils' fourth straight victory and ninth win in 11 contests.

New Jersey used the overtime winner to strengthen its hold on the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference.
Petr Sykora chipped in with a tally and an assist while Martin Brodeur made 29 saves to earn the decision.
Phil Kessel, Clarke MacArthur and Tim Connolly all scored but it wasn't enough for the Maple Leafs, who lost for the sixth time in seven games.
Gustavsson finished with 32 saves.
