DETROIT, Feb. 21 (UPI) -- Detroit Red Wings leading scorer Pavel Datsyuk will miss at least two weeks after undergoing minor arthroscopic knee surgery, the team said Tuesday.

Datsyuk had the procedure to remove fragments from his right knee Tuesday at the Detroit Medical Center, General Manager Ken Holland said on the team's Twitter account.

"Surgery is over. It was minor arthroscopic surgery and he should be good to go in a couple of weeks," Holland said.

Datsyuk has 16 goals and 43 assists in 59 games for the Red Wings, who extended their NHL-record 23-game home winning streak Sunday against the Sharks.
