NBA: New Jersey 100, New York 92

NEW YORK, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Deron Williams accounted for 24 of his 38 points with eight 3-pointers Monday and the New Jersey Nets cooled off the New York Knicks 100-92.

Kris Humphries provided 14 points and 14 rebounds while MarShon Brooks chipped in with 18 points for the Nets, who spoiled the return of the Knicks' Carmelo Anthony following a seven-game injury absence.

DeShawn Stevenson added 11 as the Nets finished a back-to-back-to-back stretch of games with a 2-1 mark and dealt Knicks only their second loss in eight games.

Jeremy Lin scored 21 points, distributed nine assists, grabbed seven rebounds and made four steals for New York.

Anthony, back in the lineup after recovering from a groin injury, finished with 11 points and six assists.
