NHL: Winnipeg 5, Colorado 1

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Bryan Little netted a pair of goals Sunday and the Winnipeg Jets moved closer to a playoff position with an emphatic 5-1 victory over Colorado.

Blake Wheeler contributed four assists for Winnipeg (29-26-6), which collected a third straight win and moved to within one point of Florida atop the Southeast Division standings.

Andrew Ladd, Evander Kane and Kyle Wellwood also found the net and Ondrej Pavelec turned aside 31 shots in the victory.

Gabriel Landeskog scored the only goal for the Avalanche as Colorado lost for the third time in four games.

Ave netminder Semyon Varlamov finished with 20 saves.
