NHL: Chicago 3, St. Louis 1

CHICAGO, Feb. 19 (UPI) -- Dave Bolland's goal off the skate of a Blues defender in the third period Sunday provided the difference in the Chicago Blackhawks' 3-1 victory over St. Louis.

With the score tied 1-1 with 7 minutes remaining, Bolland hurled the puck toward the net and it bounced off the skate of St. Louis forward David Backes, caroming past surprised St. Louis goalie Brian Elliott.

Elliott stopped 24-of-26 shots and Andy McDonald scored the lone goal for the Blues, who lost for only the second time in eight games.
