NBA: Utah 114, Washington 100

SALT LAKE CITY, Feb. 18 (UPI) -- Al Jefferson's 34 points and 12 rebounds created a one-sided second half Friday that sent the Utah Jazz to a 114-100 decision over Washington.

The Jazz led by as many as 22 points in the third quarter, easily snapping a two-game slump while handing the Wizards their 12th loss in 15 road games this season.

Jefferson made 16-of-23 shots from the field while Utah was hitting 50 percent of its shots overall. The Jazz climbed back over .500 in their fight to move into playoff contention.

Paul Millsap added 14 points and 12 rebounds for Utah and Alex Burks produced 13 points off the bench.

John Wall led Washington with 24 points.

The Wizards are 2-2 on a five-game road trip that ends Monday in Phoenix. The two wins -- in Detroit and Portland -- constituted the first back-to-back victories this season for Washington.
