VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Feb. 17 (UPI) -- The first participant to plead guilty in the June 2011 Stanley Cup riots in Vancouver, British Columbia, was sentenced to 17 months in jail.
Ryan Dickinson, 20, of Coquitlam, was sentenced Thursday in Vancouver Provincial Court to the jail sentence and two years of probation after pleading guilty to a count of participating in a riot and violating his probation from an unrelated assault charge, the Vancouver Sun reported Friday.
