NBA: New York 100, Sacramento 85

NEW YORK, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Landry Fields led seven New York players in double figures Wednesday and Jeremy Lin recorded 13 assists in pacing the Knicks to a 100-85 win over Sacramento.

It was New York's seventh straight victory, a streak that has coincided with Lin's emergence as a star.

The Knicks' point guard, with his team running away from the Kings, played just 27 minutes and scored 10 points -- his smallest total since he burst upon the NBA scene this month.

After a loss to Boston Feb. 3, the Knicks had fallen seven games below .500. Lin scored 25 points off the bench in New York's next game against New Jersey and has started ever since while the Knicks have climbed back to break-even.

Fields hit 6-of-8 and scored 15 points while Bill Walker and Steve Novak both had 14. New York took a 22-point lead into the fourth quarter and hit half its field goal attempts for the game.

Tyreke Evans had 19 points to lead Sacramento, which has dropped three in a row. The Kings, who have won just three times on the road this season, have four games left on a six-game road trip.
