NBA: Houston 96, Oklahoma City 95

HOUSTON, Feb. 15 (UPI) -- Kevin Martin put Houston in front with 24 seconds remaining Wednesday and the Rockets survived a series of misses to defeat Oklahoma City 96-95.

Martin scored the final points of the game with two free throws. Oklahoma City then missed four shots in the span of 15 seconds -- a 3-point attempt and two layup tries by Kevin Durant and a failed tip-in by Kevin Westbrook.

Goran Dragic finally claimed a rebound for Houston in the final second and was fouled, but he missed both attempts to leave the Rockets with a one-point victory.

Oklahoma City suffered only its second road loss in 12 games this season. The Thunder are two games in front of San Antonio for the best record in the Western Conference.

Houston had dropped two in a row. Martin scored 32 points and Luis Scola had 15 for the Rockets.

Durant and Westbrook combined to take 51 of Oklahoma City's 83 shots from the field, with Durant scoring 33 points and Westbrook contributing 26.
