BUFFALO, N.Y., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- Ilya Kovalchuk racked up a four-point night with his 12th career hat trick and an assist Tuesday in the New Jersey Devils' 4-1 win over Buffalo.
The Devils broke a two-game losing streak with the help of Petr Sykora, who scored New Jersey's other goal, while Adam Henrique chipped in with two helpers in the win.

Martin Brodeur earned the victory with 29 saves.
The Sabres got their only goal from Jason Pominville as they fell for a second straight game.
Ryan Miller made 30 saves for Buffalo, which got head Coach Lindy Ruff back behind the bench following a three-game absence.
Ruff suffered three broken ribs during a practice session accident last week.
