NHL: Columbus 3, Minnesota 1

ST. PAUL, Minn., Feb. 11 (UPI) -- R.J. Umberger scored twice and James Wisniewski returned from an injury to make an impact in the Columbus Blue Jackets' 3-1 win over Minnesota.

Umberger's first goal late in the initial period was a dribbler that got behind Minnesota goalie Niklas Backstrom and tied the score 1-1.

He put the Blue Jackets ahead for good with 21 seconds remaining in the second period, scoring on the rebound of a Wisniewski shot during a power play.

Wisniewski added an empty-netter in his return after missing 17 games with a broken ankle.

Steve Mason stopped 34-of-35 shots as Columbus downed Minnesota for the second time in five days.

Devin Setoguchi scored and Backstrom finished with 16 saves for the Wild, who dropped their fourth straight two days after a loss to Vancouver prompted Coach Mike Yeo to admit "We flat-out stink."
