NBA: Houston 99, Denver 90

DENVER, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Houston's Luis Scola and Kyle Lowry teamed up to score 45 points Monday and the Rockets used accurate long-range shooting to best Denver 99-90.

Scola scored 25 points and grabbed eight rebounds while Lowry contributed 20 points and six assists for Houston, which went 10-of-19 from 3-point territory.

Chase Budinger nailed four 3-pointers en route to 16 points as the Rockets won for the second time in three games.

The Nuggets were led by Danilo Gallinari, who managed 14 points before leaving with a left ankle injury, which was later diagnosed as a chip fracture.

Denver dropped its fifth in six games.
