The 20-year-old Jovanovski filled in for former world No. 1 and 2008 U.S. Open runner-up Jelena Jankovic, who bowed out of Sunday's action due to a left thigh injury.

The quarterfinal was knotted at 2-2 entering the decisive doubles match.

Yanina Wickmayer had given Belgium a 2-1 lead with a 6-1, 6-0 pasting of Krunic in Sunday's opening reverse singles rubber, but Jovanovski pulled Serbia even in the second singles by dispatching Kirsten Flipkens 6-2, 6-4.

Serbia now goes on to battle 2011 Fed Cup runner-up Russia in an April semifinal.
