NBA: San Antonio 99, Houston 91

SAN ANTONIO, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Tim Duncan paced a San Antonio second-half rally with 25 points and seven rebounds Wednesday, vaulting the Spurs to a 99-91 triumph over Houston.

The Rockets led by 17 points during the early stages of the third period, but went more than 4 minutes without a point late in the quarter.

Houston failed to score during the game's final 2:21 and San Antonio took the lead for good at 93-91 on a jumper by Gary Neal with 2:03 remaining.

Duncan made 9-of-12 from the field and was aided by 24 points from Tony Parker. Neal had 15 in San Antonio's 11th win in 12 home games this season.

Houston has lost twice in a row after winning 9-of-10. Kevin Martin scored 29 for the Rockets and hit six 3-pointers.

San Antonio forced 20 turnovers.
