NBA: Utah 93, Portland 89

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Gordon Hayward made a key block late in the game and sank a pair of decisive free throws for Utah Monday, helping the Jazz defeat Portland 93-89.

Hayward finished with 12 points. Paul Millsap had 19 points and 15 rebounds for the short-handed Jazz, who were playing without injured starters Al Jefferson and Raja Bell.

C.J. Miles scored 15 points, Devin Harris had 13 and Josh Howard had 11 for Utah, which has won two straight.

LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 25 points and Nicolas Batum scored 15.
