NBA: Chicago 98, Washington 88

WASHINGTON, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose pumped in 35 points Monday, sinking 14-of-15 free throws in the Chicago Bulls' 98-88 victory over Washington.

Carlos Boozer scored 18 in the Bulls' seventh straight win over the Wizards.

Kyle Korver helped Chicago avoid a second straight loss with 17 points, with14 of them coming in first half as the Bulls built a big advantage.

The Wizards got 20 points from John Wall while Nick Young and JaVale McGee teamed up to add 33 more for Washington.

The team announced before the game forward Andray Blatche would miss 3-5 weeks with a strained calf.
