NBA: Houston 97, New York 84

HOUSTON, Jan. 28 (UPI) -- Chase Budinger and Goran Dragic combined for 35 points Saturday and Houston racked up its ninth win in 10 games with a 97-84 verdict over New York.

Budinger notched 19 points and Dragic added 16 for Houston, which was playing without leading scorer Kevin Martin, who is out with a foot injury.

Courtney Lee and Jordan Hill helped fill the gap with 14 points each.

New York, meanwhile, dropped its third straight despite 23 points and eight rebounds from Amare Stoudemire.

Tyson Chandler added 14 and 11 for the Knicks, who also were without their top scorer, Carmelo Anthony. He missed a second consecutive game with injuries.
