DALLAS, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Roddy Beaubois, thrown into the action due to an outbreak of injuries, scored a season-best 22 points Friday to bring Dallas a 116-101 win over Utah.
Lamar Odom had his best game in a Dallas uniform with 19 points, while Jason Terry added 15. The Mavericks have won nine out of 12 and moved into a share of the lead with San Antonio in the Southwest Division.
Dallas played its fourth straight game without Dirk Nowitzki, who has been suffering from a sore right knee. Delonte West missed the contest with a hamstring strain and starting point guard Jason Kidd left the contest in the first period with a strained right calf.
The Mavericks have gone 3-1 without Nowitzki, who could return Sunday against San Antonio.
Odom has been a disappointment since being obtained in a trade with the Los Angeles Lakers prior to the season. He brought an average of 8.3 points per contest into Friday's game.
Dallas shot 55 percent and hit 11-of-19 from 3-point range. Beaubois had four of the long-range field goals.
Paul Millsap scored 20 points to lead Utah, which has lost two in a row.
