Steelers' Hoke retires

PITTSBURGH, Jan. 25 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh Steelers nose tackle Chris Hoke has called it quits after 11 NFL seasons.

Hoke, 35, had his 2011 season ended by a neck injury that required surgery. He had three tackles in six games before being hurt.

Hoke spent his entire pro career with the Steelers, playing in 114 games. He had 83 tackles and two sacks.
