The streak is the third-longest in NHL history -- three short of matching a record shared by the 1929-30 Boston Bruins and 1975-76 Philadelphia Flyers.

Pavel Datsyuk, Johan Franzen and Niklas Kronwall tallied for the Red Wings, who improved to a league-best 33-15-1.

The Blues absorbed their first regulation loss in January.

Scott Nichol scored and Jaroslav Halak stopped 25-of-28 shots for St. Louis.
