NBA: Oklahoma City 99, Detroit 79

OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 23 (UPI) -- Russell Westbrook and James Harden each popped in 24 points Monday and the Oklahoma City Thunder continued their hot start with a 99-79 win over Detroit.

Kevin Durant added 20 points for the Thunder, who shot 53.2 percent from the field and improved to 14-3 -- the best start of a season since the team (then the Seattle SuperSonics) went 14-3 to begin the 2004-05 campaign.

The Western Conference leaders won for the seventh time in eight home games.

Brandon Knight scored 13 points while Rodney Stuckey and Greg Monroe each tallied 12 for the Pistons, who fell to 4-14 on the season.
