OKLAHOMA CITY, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- Oklahoma City Thunder backup point guard Eric Maynor had surgery Wednesday on his torn anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee and is out for the season.

Maynor was hurt in the fourth quarter of the Thunder's game against the Houston Rockets Saturday.

Maynor, who played behind all-star Russell Westbrook, averaged 4.2 points and 2.4 assists in nine games this season.
