NBA: Washington 105, Oklahoma City 102

WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- John Wall hit four free throws in the final minute Wednesday and scored 25 points, boosting Washington to a surprising 105-102 victory over Oklahoma City.

In a meeting of the teams with the best and worst records in the NBA, the Wizards won for just the second time this season. Oklahoma City suffered only its third loss.

Wall added eight assists and seven rebounds in helping Washington end a four-game losing streak. Nick Young had 24 points for the Wizards.

Washington had a seven-point lead with 26 seconds left but Kevin Durant hit a pair of 3-pointers in the span of 7.9 seconds to give the Thunder a chance.

Durant had a chance to tie the game at the buzzer, but his long 3-point try bounded off the rim.

Russell Westbrook scored 36 points for Oklahoma City and Durant had 33. The Thunder had won seven consecutive games.
